Welcome and thank you for visiting Staffordshire’s hidden treasure.

Gardens to Close

A last opportunity to visit Consall Hall Landscape Gardens.

The month of October will be the last opportunity to visit the gardens which will continue to open on Wednesdays and Sundays until the end of the season on 28th October 2009, but will not re-open to visitors for the 2010 season.

Despite the enormous enjoyment Mr Podmore has given and recieved from sharing his garden with tens of thousands of visitors over the last four years, the costs of providing visitor facilities, increasing taxation and his advancing years makes it difficult to continue developing and opening the gardens.

Mr Podmore will be 91 in November and is looking forward to spending more leisure time enjoying his garden. He has endeavoured to keep the gardens open to the public, but so far no-one has come forward to take over the running of the gardens. He is very disappointed and sorry that the many new friends will no longer be able to enjoy the gardens at present.

Mr Podmore and all the staff wish to thank all the many visitors who have been to Consall Gardens since our opening in 2006 and are extremely sorry for the closure.

Please note:

Consall Gardens remains open for all weddings and provisional bookings for 2010 & 2011

“A 70 Acre haven of Beauty and Tranquillity”

The exceptional landscape consists of four intersecting valleys which have been skilfully developed to create a series of vistas – each with an interesting foreground guiding the viewer’s attention over an open expanse of natural beauty to an eye-catcher set against an attractive background.
